1. Hot Water Tank

Is your Hot Water Tank older than 8 years? If so, you may be approaching a time that calls for a tank replacement. The lifespan of water tanks is typically between 8-12 years. If you find yourself regularly running out of hot water, it is time for a tank upgrade!

Another sign that you are due for a tank replacement is the appearance of rust. Rust is one of the bigger signs that you need to replace your tank as they are likely to lead to leaks. Be proactive and replace rusty tanks to avoid property damaging leaks.

Listen closely, is there excessive noise coming from your tank? If so, it is likely time for a replacement. Tanks create loud noises as sediment builds up which strains the tank causing it to work harder. Here is another FREE tip! Drain your hot water tank annually to avoid the build up of sediment.

We get it, trying to understand everything about your hot water tank can be overwhelming and that is why OneContact is here to help. Call one of our plumbing experts to take care of your water tank worries.

2. Leaky Faucets

A leaky faucet is an annoying household problem. The constant dripping noise can drive you crazy! Not to mention the big bucks you’ll lose over time. Luckily OneContact offers Light Plumbing Services – a Safe & Reliable Choice for Those Little Things that Keep Dripping. Be stress free and let us handle all your plumbing tasks at once!

3. Caulk Sealants

Oftentimes the caulk seals around our tubs, showers, and sinks are overlooked! Although it may not be a direct plumbing issue, broken caulk seals can result in disastrous damage to your home. It may lead water from your shower, bathtub, or sink to get behind walls or under floors. Every two months check the caulk beads along the sink and floors to ensure it is entact. If you find any gaps or breaks fill it in with fresh caulk. Every few years it is a good idea to remove old caulk seals in your bathrooms and replace it with a bead of high-quality silicone caulk. It may be a daunting task, however, OneContact is ready to tackle all your bundle of plumbing problems!
