Energy and Money Saving Tips – August Edition

money saving in a jar

These little hacks will help you save money, so that you can spend it on things that you really enjoy this summer –  so you can get back to activities like Globalfest, rafting on the Bow River, or splurging on a home renovation.

1. Keep the Lights OFF

The natural light looks better anyways. Your energy bill can stay lower this summer if you keep the lights off. Also, your chances of having electrical problems at home will decrease if you choose to keep the power use to a minimum.

2. Use Fans to Avoid Using Air Conditioning

We all know that using air conditioners can ramp up your bill price. We recommend installing a fan to avoid these high prices.

3. Bundle Up at Night

Sometimes it can get really cold at night. Before turning the heat on, grab a sweater or blanket. This can save your heating bill in the long run.
