How to Clean Dirt Marks Off Your Walls After the Winter Season

clean dirt off

Spring is in session which means it is time to spring clean! Are you seeing salt residues and dirt marks scuffed on your walls and floors near your doorways and you’re annoyed by it? Trust us, this life hack will clean dirt off your walls in 10 minutes.

First, start off by mixing some dish soap and warm water. Gently use a soft sponge or cloth to wipe the dirt and salt marks off in circular motions. If it is an oil stain, the dish soap should be tough enough to cut through the oil film.

If the marks are still there, try using some baking soda. Mix water and baking soda to create a paste-like mix. Apply the mix to the dirt mark, and scrub gently in a circular motion. This mix should not affect anything, but may dull up your high gloss painted woodwork. Try applying this mixture in a hidden area to just make sure.

Try a tennis ball on glossy surfaces if there are rubber scuff marks on your walls or floors, as this will help remove them without damaging the finish.

If for any reason those marks don’t come off using the above methods, use a magic eraser. They are all-purpose cleaners, which most likely the marks will come off. But be careful, if you rub too hard, you may rub the paint off too.
